Bio

I am a Prince George based photographer, filmmaker, and educator. In 2017, I really began to take a deep interest in capturing images with a camera. Looking back, it is clear to see where my fascination with photography came from. My father was (and still is) a talented photographer who shot film in the '80s and '90s. At one point he ran a small studio and shot weddings for local clients. His true passion however, was documenting landscapes and the outdoors. To this day I still love looking through old photo albums and staring at the prints he has on the walls of his home.

I started with outdoor photography with nothing other than, you guessed it, an iPhone. After messing around for a couple years I was given an old Canon PowerShot. This 8 megapixel beauty challenged me in new ways and I was able to capture a number of pretty decent images. After couple years, my wife bought me a Canon Rebel t7i and I dove full force into creating content that others started noticing.

I've always been deeply inspired by the outdoors and the rugged landscapes that I've grown up around. Because of this, I try to let my photography showcase the story and mood of the situation I am shooting. I work hard at creating images that capture the people and place around me in ways that are timeless.

I really enjoy working with people and I love learning about what makes others happy. Most of my shoots are client related but when I am not shooting for someone else, you'll undoubtedly find me hiking to shoot something outdoors related.

Aside from photography I am also an artist and educator. I teach in the Prince George school district and my day job involves teaching Humanities and Arts classes to junior high and high school students. Since beginning my job as a teacher, I have taught photography and video courses and have put an immense amount of time into creating a curriculum that is relevant and deeply effective. It is my hope to jump into teaching photography inside and outside of the classroom on a year-round basis.

Why Choose Me?

People need to feel comfortable with the person they are letting into their life for even a few hours of a day. Whether it's a simple portrait shoot, your beautiful wedding day, or an educational session, I will always take the time you need to discuss your vision for the day. The first thing I like to do is encourage my clients to meet me in person when setting a plan. My goal is to leave you more excited than you were when we first sat down together! Whether I am taking your photos or teaching you how to take your own, you can be confident that I will make your day as incredible as you are hoping for.

Secondly, you'll be hard pressed to find another photographer as dedicated to delivering quality as I am. I strive to maintain a meticulous eye for detail and I treat every photo, video, and course I create as one-of-a-kind. My style is one I've crafted over many months of work and research. When it's all said and done, you can be sure you are receiving a final product that is wonderfully unique.

I look forward to meeting you and being a part of the memories we create together!
